LAKE WALES, Fla. — Carl Dean Odeneal, 62, Lake Wales, Fla., died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2000 at his home. He had lived in Florida since 1993. He was born Dec. 11, 1937 in Danville, Ill., the son of Leolus and Ruby Runyan Odeneal. He married Carolyn Owens Aug. 20, 1994. She survives. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He had been an owner/operator in the trucking industry and was also formerly employed by Teamster's Local #627 of Peoria, Ill. He was a member of the Penecostal Church of God in Lake Wales, and the Peoria Sheriff's Posse. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, Dan Odeneal, Canon City, Colo. and Richard Odeneal, Princeville, Ill.; a daughter, Patty (Stan) Hudson, Pekin, Ill.; a step son, Kenny Henley, Lakeland, Fla.; a step daughter, Bobbie Jo Tucker, Winter Haven, Fla.; four sisters, including his twin sister, Shirley (Rolland) Woolwine, Kingman, Delores Bedwell and Marilyn Burk, both of Terre Haute and Kathy (Bill) Beaver, Danville, Ill.; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Odeneal, Tennessee and Bill Odeneal, Waverly, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery near Kingman. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the funeral home. – jlr
